Works great!
Download via your blackberry by going to http://www.apsquared.net/blog/mlb-tracker/
and clicking on the link to the OTA download.
In options you may have to check the box for Use Devise TCP Settings.

I can’t get this to work with my Blackberry Curve 8310. It says:
Unable to connect to MLB data source. Please exit application and try again. Error: Java.io.IOException:Invalid URL parameter http://wap.mlb.com/mlb/scores/index.jsp;deviceside=false
My phone still shows this as version .85, is this the correct version?

It is showing v.88 now, but still giving me the error.

Erik,
Are you on BIS or BES? (I thought I had it working for both but maybe not).

I’m getting the same error as Erik.
The program version number is 0.85. I’m on BIS with a Pearl 8130 with the .97 Verizon device software.

I’ll try to review this issue further tonight.

I am using BIS.
I went into Options and checked the box for Use Devise TCP Settings. I am able to get it to work now, however when I click on the icon to load the application, it just sits there, and I have to click it again to actually get it to load. Any way to fix this so it loads the first time?

I just tested it on the Detroit game. And it looks to be working good…however when I try to manually refresh the WATCH GAME, it will show an error of “Uncaught Exception:java.lang.illegalThreadStateException” and then it will shut down the program

Cesar, it’s working on my 8320. Are you on BIS or BES? Can explain what your seeing?

Erik,
What your seeing with regards to the loading may just be a timeout that happens when it has to make the first connection…
Unfortunately I don’t have BIS so it’s really hard for me to test these issues.

I am getting the error message stating me to close the program and reopen it….nothing happens when i do that. Also, in my options it says version .85 but when i open the program it says .88? I am on BIS.

Looks like it’s working now, albeit a few bugs. Nonetheless, it appears all is good now. The only issues are me having to open the program twice, and I did get an error once during a refresh earlier, but haven’t been able to reproduce since then. Thanks for a great program, I can’t wait to use it this season when I’m not around a TV or laptop! You rock!

Cesar,
Did you go to the options menu and change the setting to Use Device TCP Settings?

Erik,
Glad its ‘working’ – I’d really appreciate it if you find the time to visit our primary website http://www.myfriendsuggests.com and check it out. Hopefully that site will make me some money and I can focus more time on making MLB Tracker better (cheap plug)

Sorry, I typed more, but it didn’t all show up for some reason.
After you install, open program. If you get the error, push the trackball, scroll to options and click trackball again to open options. Select “Use Device TCP Settings”. Close program. Reboot BB. Open program, click trackball, then click manage teams. Then add your teams. Hopefully that works. Works fine on my 8310 on AT&T

Is there a way to change the time. The dbacks game for today is showing a 9:40 start time instead of 6:40.

Is there any way to change the time on the tracker to local time. Todays Diamondbacks game was listed as a 9:40 start time instead of 6:40.

I can’t get MLB Tracker to pull any info all of a sudden, it was fine forever, this just started about 2 days ago. Whatever team I added first it just says “Today’s games:” at the top, then, “No game today for ***” even though they do have games and it only shows one team and I have well more than one on my list. I’ve tried battery pulls, uninstalls, reinstalls and I can’t seem to get it working. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Ok, cool. I got some responses on some forums about other users having the same issues. I thought it was something with my phone specifically at first. Thanks for your help and great BB application!
